My new slide & film scanner, a Nikon Coolscan 4000 ED, has arrived here at work. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, I'll have to dig up some old negatives at home, but for what it cost, it had better do a good job. I've got the $500 slide feeder coming too, so I can stack up 50 slides at a time to run through the machine.

Mark Dobie has put his house up for sale in Monmouth, Oregon. He's moving back here to Cedar Falls, but he can't have his old job back, since I now hold it. :)

Thanks to the help of many friends, we've gotten almost all of our stuff moved into the new house, but we'll have to go back to the old place tonight to get the food we left in the freezer. I have a lot more beer left than I expected to have, so I guess I'll have to have a party soon to use it up. Holly has been busy painting the cabinets in the kitchen, while I've been getting all the electronics set up. Hopefully tonight I can get some more of the basement organized, and another computer online.
