Now Hiring.
If you're a student at UNI, and you have some computer skills, I'm now hiring.

Parfait
I put a copy of the Will Ferrell parody of Apple's "Switch" advertising campaign on this web site. You'll need a copy of QuickTime 6 to view it, as I've encoded it as an .mp4 file.

The Two Towers
I made myself sit down this afternoon and finish reading The Two Towers. I like Tolkien, but I just can't devour his books with the same speed I can go through Brust, Heinlein, or Orson Scott Card. Now I'll probably put off reading Return of the King until after I see the next movie in December, especially since I can't figure out where I put my copy of it. If all else fails, I'll buy another.

Jhereg-riffic.
I just made a nice discovery, my favorite fantasy author, Steve Brust, now has a weblog. I met him briefly at a convention in Minneapolis a few years ago, he's a nice guy, and a great writer, but the parrot on his shoulder was a little unnerving.

I also discovered that he has a new book in the Vlad Taltos series, Paths of the Dead, coming out in November. Time to place my order now! His books are wickedly funny, and if you're looking for an entertaining swashbuckling read, I suggest picking up a copy of the Book of Jhereg, which contains the first 3 works in the series. My only complaint about his books is that I like them so much I read them too quickly, and then I have to wait for the next one.

Shhhhh.
I don't have much to do this weekend, so I added a new section to my web site, The Library. I'm attempting to build a simple listing of all of my books, which is rather time consuming, since I have so many. Got 6 more RSVP's today for our wedding, so the stragglers are finally getting their cards sent in.
