Hit me with your best shot.
Our team did okay yesterday in the best shot tournament, coming in 2 over par at 38, which would have tied us for 4th place out of the 8 teams. The winning team had a golf pro onboard, and they shot a 33. I'm claiming an undue handicap, as my clubs are still in my friend JD's car, and I had to play with a rental set that lacked a 3 iron (my best club), a 9 iron, a 5 iron, and a driver. I did have two 4 irons and two pitching wedges, however...

I did at least manage to borrow a driver, one of those over-sized monsters, as the owner said he couldn't hit it straight to save his life. Turns out I can't hit it straight either. The slice worked to my advantage on the holes that doglegged to the right, but I had to put it away on the left turning and straight holes.

We got some decent prizes though, a nice new Easton baseball glove, for one, and 4 tickets to Adventureland, though we'll have to use those next weekend, as they close for the season soon.

Club Wed
One of the ushers from our wedding is getting married today. Congratulations Brendon & Raechelle! I've been enlisted to videotape the ceremony, which makes me feel at least a little useful, though it's a Catholic ceremony, so I'd better make sure those batteries are fully charged!
