Adventureland
We spent most of yesterday at Adventureland in Des Moines. We'd won four free tickets, so we went down with some friends to ride the rides, pay too much for food, and blow money on the rigged carnie games. It was fun, though it got a bit chilly, making the log ride a lot more terrifying than it would normally be. Afterwards, we went shopping, and I bought some new shoes and socks to wear, since mine were still soaked. I needed the new shoes anyhow, I'd just been waiting to find some on sale, as the ones I was wearing were ready to be relegated to lawn-mowing duty.

After dinner at Bennigans, where I had the "Turkey O'Toole" (which sounds like a James Bond character to me), we stopped at Prairie Meadows to enable Holly's gambling addiction, she hasn't figured out how much she won or lost, but I came out $26.50 ahead. We left earlier than Holly wanted, as Candace, Dan, and I had each inhaled about a carton worth of secondhand smoke, and were turning green. Is there a non-smoking Casino anywhere in the world? And if not, I should open one.
