Used Cars
Holly & I went for a walk tonight, through some of the used car lots nearby. I came away with two good candidates, a silver '97 Ford Taurus with 51K miles for $9,900 or a deep blue '01 Saturn L200 with 24K miles for $10,900. I'm in favor of the Saturn, just so I can tell people it's an "ought-one" when they ask what year it is.

I've never really bought a car before, they were always sort of chosen for me by my parents in the past, so I'll have to brush up on my confrontation skills to get myself a good deal. My car, a '90 Chevy Camaro with 119K miles has seen many better days, and isn't exactly a great winter car, so we're ready to get rid of it. Since I only live a little over a mile from work, I'll drive Holly's car, a green '94 Taurus with 124K miles, back and forth to work, and she can take whatever new car we buy.

Luddite Medicine
I like technology as much as the next geek, but Al's got a story today about a patient who believes her electrical appliances are turning her on. A good read.
