Boy, you gotta love Priceline.com. We're going to Minneapolis next weekend for a wedding, and I scored us a room in the 3-star Four Points by Sheraton for only $40. If I'd booked that room through Sheraton's web site, it would have cost me $95!

I'm glad I only have two years' worth of savings in my retirement account so far, I got my latest report from TIAA-CREF this weekend, and even though UNI and I contributed $900 this quarter, my account is worth $53 less than at the start of the quarter!

Here's a picture of Holly and her friend Candace Perkins at the local pumpkin patch. We went there last weekend to choose our pumpkins, they're a bit pricey, at 29 cents/pound, but they have a much nicer selection than the grocery store.
