Dzur

Dzur

I ripped through Steven Brust's new book, Dzur, in one sitting last week.  I absolutely love his Vlad Taltos series, and this is the newest, which I had pre-ordered from Amazon.  While I enjoyed it immensely, I think he cheated a bit on calling this book "Dzur" since that House isn't involved at all in the story, but I'll let it slide.  Now, the question is, how long do I have to wait for the next book?

I kind of stalled out reading the Viscount of Adrilanhka series, because I hadn't ever finished Five Hundred Years After, which turned out to be pretty related, so I finished that, then forgot to pick the Viscount books back up.  Well, I'm back into them now, just need to make sure I get them finished before Variable Star arrives.

Accelerating the search for a cure...

Multiple Myeloma Race for ResearchOn September 24, I'm walking in the Multiple Myeloma Race for Research in St. Paul, Minnesota, to help raise money to search for a cure for MM. As many (most?) of the people who read this know, my dad was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, an incurable cancer of the plasma cell, back in March, so this cause has suddenly become near and dear to my heart. Any support, in any amount, you can donate to the MMRF by sponsoring me, or those who are going to join our fundraising team (hurry up and register, guys, so I can link to you!) will be GREATLY appreciated by me and my family.

My fundraising page is here. The team fundraising page is here.

If you're in or near the Twin Cities, and would like to join our team, just shoot me a message and I'll send you an invitation to the team.

You can find out more about Multiple Myeloma here.
