For Sale

I've been sorting through some old VHS and Laserdisc titles today, and adding them to my Half.com store, along with some of my books that I'll never read again.  There are some great bargains to be had at Half.com, I wish I'd found it years ago, it would have saved me a lot of money on books, movies, software, and video games.  Sine it's now owned by eBay, you can use your eBay account there, and the same feedback system applies.

Feel free to browse around my shop, everything is priced to move.  I just put up a large number of Star Trek: The Next Generation laserdiscs, and you can bundle your orders to save on shipping.

Listen up Dell

In this article, Dell's President and COO says that corporate customers aren't asking for AMD chips, so that's why Dell doesn't sell them. In my career here at UNI, I've purchased several hundred of Dell's corporate desktops and laptops, and I'd jump at the chance to buy AMD from them, especially the new 64-bit CPUs. So, Dell, stop making excuses, and admit you're in bed with Intel, who is cutting you a sweet deal on Intel chips as long as you don't ship any AMD based products.

Time to pack it in

After last night's primary in Wisconsin, I think it's time for Dean to pack it in and go home. Edwards, on the other hand, got a shot in the arm from his unexpectedly strong showing, and could receive another one from former Dean supporters when Dean exits the race. The word right now is that Dean will stop campaigning today, but leave his name on the ballots. I'm ready to throw my support behind Edwards for the nomination, I've never been a big fan of Kerry, and the nomination process thus far has been so one-sided, it's left a bad taste in my mouth. As one caller from Florida said last night, as I was watching Larry King report results on CNN, "This is Democracy? I haven't even had a chance to vote yet, I wanted to choose Gephardt, and it's looking like I won't even have a choice of who my candidate is by the time we hold our primary." I'm paraphrasing a bit there, but her point was valid.
